Part 2:
Still stuck in the form,
Of a flat, wooden shape.
The next thing I should do?
Try to find an escape!
I needed an ally,
Some new pal for me,
A friendly old elf?
Par-tridge in pear tree?
Yet alone I went forth,
On this holiday mission.
As if playing Solitaire,
The Kris Kringle edition.
Then I turned a corner,
Must have gotten off track.
To the wrong side of town,
And a rogue snowman pack!
Of a flat, wooden shape.
The next thing I should do?
Try to find an escape!
I needed an ally,
Some new pal for me,
A friendly old elf?
Par-tridge in pear tree?
Yet alone I went forth,
On this holiday mission.
As if playing Solitaire,
The Kris Kringle edition.
Then I turned a corner,
Must have gotten off track.
To the wrong side of town,
And a rogue snowman pack!
I spun and turned tail,
From that freaky bunch.
Did not feel they would help,
Eh, call it a hunch.
With this boxy new body,
My one speed was “slow,"
I needed transportation,
Some get-up-and-go.
Like a car or a bike,
Or a skateboard that glides,
A snowmobile, hmmm,
Or those horses, the Clydes?
But a sleigh would be best,
That would get me ahead!
I sought out a sleigh,
Found a cheap candy sled.
From that freaky bunch.
Did not feel they would help,
Eh, call it a hunch.
With this boxy new body,
My one speed was “slow,"
I needed transportation,
Some get-up-and-go.
Like a car or a bike,
Or a skateboard that glides,
A snowmobile, hmmm,
Or those horses, the Clydes?
But a sleigh would be best,
That would get me ahead!
I sought out a sleigh,
Found a cheap candy sled.
How about a nice boat?
Or a fast submarine?
Or a fancy stretch limo,
Like the kind for Spring-steen?
Oh, who was I fooling,
It was walk-and-keep-walking.
And with each passing step,
My eyes kept a-gawking.
At mistletoe and holly,
And a new scarf unfurled,
And even some things,
That seemed out of this world.
Maybe space aliens,
Are only a fallacy.
But I felt like I’d gone,
To a whole other galaxy!
Or a fast submarine?
Or a fancy stretch limo,
Like the kind for Spring-steen?
Oh, who was I fooling,
It was walk-and-keep-walking.
And with each passing step,
My eyes kept a-gawking.
At mistletoe and holly,
And a new scarf unfurled,
And even some things,
That seemed out of this world.
Maybe space aliens,
Are only a fallacy.
But I felt like I’d gone,
To a whole other galaxy!
I needed to think,
To clear my thoughts bare.
Perhaps what I needed?
Just a little fresh air.
How cold could it be?
Would I really go risk it?
We lions aren't fond,
Of freezing our brisket.
Yet with my head reeling,
Senses on over-load.
There was only one place,
One untraveled road.
Outdoors! In December!
A cure for my woe?
I made up my mind,
And went out in the snow.
To clear my thoughts bare.
Perhaps what I needed?
Just a little fresh air.
How cold could it be?
Would I really go risk it?
We lions aren't fond,
Of freezing our brisket.
Yet with my head reeling,
Senses on over-load.
There was only one place,
One untraveled road.
Outdoors! In December!
A cure for my woe?
I made up my mind,
And went out in the snow.
